Few days ago social media were thrown in divided chaos after the most populous church in Ghana, the church of Pentecost donated one billion old Ghana cedis to government towards building of the national cathedral. Today, information available suggest that the Methodist church, Ghana has also followed suit.
The Methodist Church Ghana has presented a cheque of One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (100.000.00 GHS) to the National Cathedral of Ghana project in fulfilment of an annual budgetary allocation towards the project.
The donation was made on behalf of the Methodist Church, Ghana by the presiding Bishop, Most. Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo and the Director of Finance, Very. Rev. Anthony Kwabena Cobbah.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral is Rev. Ebenezer Saka Ameyaw, who is the Head of Church Relations and Executive Assistant at the secretariat.
The agenda to build the national cathedral will surely come to pass. The Churches want Ghanaians to know that the cathedral can be built without government removing a penmy for the National coffers.
