Former Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Mutawakilu Seidu kept a clean sheet in his side’s goalless stalemate in the Nigerian top-flight at the weekend.
The former Ghana youth international played the full throttle for Enugu Rangers as they were held at home by Sunshine Stars in their league fixture on Saturday.
Seidu was in impressive form for the former Nigerian champions and was rated at 8.0 in this Matchday 23 fixture as they drew their eighth game of the season.
Enugu Rangers has won 10 and lost five matches in the ongoing top-flight league in Nigeria, with a goal difference of plus 13 having netted 27 times and conceded 14.
In the same encounter, former Berekum Chelsea and Liberty Professionals goalkeeper Nana Bonsu was an unused substitute for Enugu Rangers who are third on the 20-club Nigerian championship.
They have 38 points, 11 behind the leaders Rivers United and 10 behind second placed Plateau United in the race for the two slots available to Nigerian clubs in the CAF Champions League.
Enugu Rangers will next play 14th placed Niger Tornadoes in an away encounter on Wednesday as they chase a Champions League slot.
And, Seidu Mutawakilu will hope to continue with his good form for his side as they seek to attain this ultimate.
