The scariest thing about this Arsenal team is they’re yet to finish levelling up. The project is still incomplete and they’re already elite. They controlled Brighton from minute 1-90. In first minutes of both first-half and second-half, Arsenal netted goal. From the start until the end, Arsenal deserved to win today. They were the much much better team at Stadium.
Brighton started the match well before the visitors turned things around and improved their overall performance from their highly rated players the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko. Zinchenko had missed many games but upon his return to the team, he seemed like a born-again because he was lightening quick with the ball in every chance he had. He was exceptional in the pitch. It was stunning to watch him playing.
Arsenal fans praised Zinchenko after his impressively displays against Brighton with some saying Oleksandr Zinchenko won 100% of his four duels in the the first half against Brighton, while no player made more tackles (2). He also had a higher expected goals (0.39) than the entire Brighton side combined (0.22). He’s elite, both him and Mikel Arteta deserve equal credit because the compact structure Zinchenko plays in enables him to succeed too. Arsenal fans believe Oleksandr Zinchenko is one of the best players Arsenal have and Arteta should always start him in matches whenever fit.
Arsenal goals were scored by Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli. Mitoma and Ferguson scored for Brighton.
