Arsenal faced Brighton and Hove albion in today’s league fixture at the American express stadium. It was a chance for Mikel Arteta’s side to extend their lead at the top of the league table after Manchester City dropped points.
Arsenal had a really good game against Brighton. They took the lead in the opening minutes of the first half after Bukayo Saka scored from a loose ball. Bukayo Saka’s fine form continued as he bagged yet another Premier League goal. It was a well built goal from Arsenal. They extended their lead to 2-0 after Martin Odegaard scored.
Martin Odegaard scored a brilliant goal as Arsenal extended their lead to 2-0 in the first half of the match. Martin Odegaard has no doubt been Arsenal’s best player so far this season. The young captain doesn’t fall to deliver in front of goal. Down into the second half of the match, Arsenal extended their lead still further to 3-0 after Edward Nketiah scored.
Brighton and Hove albion pulled one back after Kaoru Mitoma scored a brilliant goal from Pascal Gross’ assist. There was no hope for a come back at this point as Arsenal were completely in control of the match. Gabriel Martinelli extended Arsenal’s lead to 4-1 with Martin Odegaard providing an assist for the goal. Evan Ferguson made it 4-2 for Brighton as they kept pushing to narrow the score line.
