Epixode has backed Stonebwoy when he recently said he’s the originator of Afro Dancehall and marketed it to the rest of the world, having shared the stage with Shaggy, Bounty Killer and the like.
In a Citi FM interview recently with AJ Sarpong, Stonebwoy said: “I’ve performed alongside Shaggy, Bounty killer, Richard Stevens, Alpha Blondy, and more. I’m promoting afro-dancehall…I sold it to the world. Oh, I am”
Reechoing this subject, Stonebwoy’s colleague Epixode told renowned Ghanaian entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo that indeed Stonebwoy set the pace.
“He [Stonebwoy] has every right to own it, especially because he has successfully marketed his brand, the “genre,” and his nation to an international audience. It is impossible to deny his attraction on a global scale.”
