 The Most Economical Cars

We live in a digital world. Digitalization changes everything. Every year every transnational company is showing its developments in the transport sphere. The companies are willing to sell us the latest cars with all the latest developments and innovations. And customers do not want to buy them each year. This fight has been going on for centuries. If you are tired of your old car and do not have the resources to buy a new one, do not get upset. Try to test your luck at the 22bet iPhone and win the jackpot for the car of your dreams.

Today we will focus on SUVs, which are most common among motorists, almost catching up with sedans. It is understandable. In the industrial classes of cars, the efficiency of a sedan and the cross-country ability of an SUV are combined. We have compiled a ranking of the most economical gasoline cars sold on the market, without taking into account their cost. For convenience, we have changed this scheme into three nominations for three муршсдуы in each: cars with engine displacement from 1.0 to 1.6 liters, vehicles with engine displacement from 1.8 to 2.5 liters, and models with units from 2. 5 to 4.0 liters.

The first go cars with an engine capacity of 1.0 – 1.6 liters. About a dozen cars sold in official dealer networks are counted under these measurements. But among such a wide list of models, there are cars that consume a large amount of fuel.

1st: Mini Cooper Countryman

This elegant “peasant” has recently joined the Mini family, becoming the brand’s first crossover. In addition to an unusual design that allows the model to stand out in a stream of cars, it is equipped with an economical 1.6-liter gasoline engine, which consumes 7.4 l / 100 km of fuel in urban mode, and 6 l / 100 km in mixed mode. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. True, the cost of the winner of this nomination is pretty high but it depends on where you are located.

2nd place: Citroen C4 Aircross

Symbolic silver in this nomination was taken by a newcomer to the Citroen lineup, built on the Mitsubishi ASX platform. The French diligently worked on the design of the exterior of the car, not forgetting, however, about the technical improvement of the power units inherited from the ASX. Thus, the 1.6-liter petrol unit installed on the C4 Aircross consumes 7.5 l/100 km in the urban cycle, while in the mixed cycle this figure is 5.9 l/100 km. The engine is aggregated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. For this car, the buyer will have to pay an average of $ 25,000.

3rd place: Skoda Yeti

The crossover from the Czech Republic won the bronze medal in this nomination thanks to the new 1.2-liter turbocharged engine, which was installed on the car in the winter of 2012. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and consumes 7.8 l / 100 km of gasoline when driving in city mode, and 6.4 l / 100 km in mixed mode. The price is different, from 20,000 to 23,000$.

The second goes the cars with an engine capacity of 1.8 – 2.5 liters. We also selected more than a dozen cars in this middle category of economical crossovers sold on our market. But there was a car among all the contenders, the efficiency of which would be envied not only by the participants but also by the winners of the previous nomination. So let’s announce.

Winner: Mazda CX-5

In addition to the bright exterior, made in the new corporate style of KODO, the gold medalist of this nomination also received all the innovative SkyActiv technologies. The base car is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine, which is aggregated with a six-speed manual transmission and consumes 7.7 l / 100 km of fuel in urban mode. And in the combined cycle, this unit “eats” only 6.2 l / 100 km. Official dealers are asking $29,987 for this model.

2nd place: BMW X1

Silver in this nomination deserves the most compact crossover of the Munich brand, equipped with a four-cylinder power plant with a volume of 2.0 liters. Working in tandem with six-speed “mechanics”, this unit consumes 9.1 l / 100 km in the urban cycle and 7.1 l / 100 km in the mixed one.

3rd place: Audi Q3

The bronze winner of the nomination was the most compact car of the Ingolstadt brand from the all-wheel drive Q family. The car is equipped with a 2.0-liter petrol unit, which consumes 9.5 l/100 km in the city, and 7.3 l/100 km in mixed mode. This engine is mated with a six-speed manual transmission. This model is the most expensive of the three winners of the nomination.

The third goes the cars with an engine capacity of 2.5 – 4.0 liters. The nomination, which includes full-size crossovers, is the most numerous one. Here, the share of victory is decided exclusively by innovative technologies used in the production of engines – after all, there is no other way to make engines of such volumes moderate their gasoline appetite. And representatives of German brands did the best in this regard – it was their models that occupied the entire podium of honor and economy.

Winner: Mercedes-Benz ML

The car owes its victory in this nomination to the BlueEFFICIENCY technology, thanks to which the engineers managed to increase the power of the engines, and, at the same time, increase their efficiency. The winning model is equipped with a 3.5-liter petrol unit, which is paired with a seven-speed 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission. In urban mode, it consumes 10.9 l/100 km, while in mixed consumption it is 8.5 l/100 km. The price is pretty high, over 60,000$.

2nd place: BMW X3

Another representative of the Munich automobile industry receives a symbolic silver medal for efficiency. The crossover is equipped with a 3.0-liter petrol engine, which is aggregated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Fuel consumption in the urban cycle is 11.2 l / 100 km and in the mixed – 8.8 l / 100 km.

3rd place: Audi Q5

And another Ingolstadt crossover of the Q family becomes the bronze winner of the nomination. It is equipped with a 3.2-liter gasoline unit, and a seven-band S-Tronic transmission, and consumes 12.3 l / 100 km in urban mode. In the combined cycle, the consumption is 9.3 l / 100 km.
