Abdulai Osman from Larabanga and Fuseini Sumani from Damongo Atributo, both poachers who reside in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region, were apprehended in the Palma beat of the Mole National Park at around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2022.
A waterbuck and an antelope were slain by the poachers. The two poachers were captured by the Mole National Park rangers who had been pursuing them for some time while they were out in the field.
The Mole National Park’s Park Manager, Ali Mahama, told Bole-based Nkilgi Fm that the arrest had been made and that “the poachers murdered an antelope and a waterbuck.”
Gandhi added; “We will prohibit all poachers from entering the Park because we are fully awake. Our responsibility is to protect the animals, and we will take all necessary precautions to do so “.
The two poachers will appear before a judge in a courtroom.
