Ghanaian Journalist and pollster Ben Ephson said he would be surprised if Johnson Asiedu Nketiah wins the national chairmanship position of the NDC party.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah is contesting against the incumbent national chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo in their upcoming delegates’ congress of the party.
”The mood and the level of voting in the women and youth elections send a signal. How do you change a team that has done so well between 2016 and 2020? In 2016, Mahama lost the election by about one million votes. In 2020, he lost by about five hundred and fourteen thousand and, if the trend of voting in the women and youth election is an indicator, I will be very surprised if Asiedu Nketiah wins”, he said on Asaase Breakfast Show.
He continued to say that the audio of Asiedu Nketiah did him no good. It has only put him out as somebody who will sacrifice the party’s overall benefit for his personal and selfish gain.
The current General Secretary for the biggest opposition party(NDC) is not a favourite contender for some people. Koku Anyidoho recently commented that Asiedu Nketiah’s win would be detrimental to the National Democratic Congress.
