National Youth Organizer elect of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) George Opare Addo, alias Pablo, has described some party elders as hypocrites.
He said those elders sat unconcerned while his opponent insulted and maligned him during the course of the Youth Organizer contest, but started calling for calm immediately he also decided to respond.
Pablo contested the elections against Yaw Brogya Genfi, who had massive support from Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the NDC and Sam George, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram.
Pablo appears to be unhappy with some of the things that were said against him in the course of the campaign and so immediately after winning the elections, he also went on a media tour to dish out to his opponents.
This has resulted in a media war between Pablo, Sam George, Brogya and Sammy Gyamfi, which Elders of the party are unhappy about.
Pablo has, however, expressed his disappointment in his party’s elders for failing to call his opponents to order when they started the attacks on his person.
“The elders of the NDC are part of the problem. When the whole thing started, they closed their eyes on the matter.
“No elder in the party called me when the matter started despite all the, excuse me to say, ‘nonsense’ that was happening. None of them called me!” He said in the interview transcribed by MyNewsGh.com.
“As I speak to you right now, when I spoke out 1 and 2, they started sending me messages. I want to ask them, where were they when my name and reputation was under attack?
“Just when I decided to respond, they are calling for calm. Sometimes the hypocrisy is too much” he said.
