After a poor run in the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament that saw the early exit of the Black Stars in the group stages of the World Cup tournament, Coach Otto Addo announced his resignation as head coach of the Black Stars.
This has left the Black Stars without a coach and a big task for the Ghana Football Association to make in the few weeks ahead.
George Boateng
According to sources around the Ghana Football Association, two names have been present in discussions with George Boateng and Chris Hughton favourites to land the role.
Chris Hughton
George Boateng served as an assistant coach under Coach Otto Addo and even resigned from his role as an assistant coach at Aston Villa to focus on his Black Stars job. Chris Hughton was also a technical advisor for the Black Stars at the World cup and is said to be interested in having the mandate to coach the Black stars.
Any decision by the Ghana Football Association will be communicated once it is shared.
