Accra Hearts of Oak have found a replacement for the departing captain, Fatawu Mohammed.
The long serving skipper who joined the club in 2013, has been deemed as surplus to requirement under new Serbian trainer, Slavko Matic.
The Phobians started the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season on a bad note having clocked just two points from their three opening games of the season.
The poor results were achieved under departed coach, Samuel Boadu who arguably remains one of the best coaches the club has had in its history.
The club has since been transformed into a winsome side ever since the Serbian trainer, Slavko Matic was appointed to replace Samuel Boadu.
The Serbian trainer has identified Asante Kotoko right-back, Christopher Nettey as a perfect replacement for Fatawu Mohammed. Accra Hearts of Oak have been told to look for an alternative venue to play their next home games until after the Christmas.
