Transfer woes Accra Hearts of Oak has suffered sometime ago

Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, commonly referred to as Hearts of Oak or just Hearts, is a professional sports club based in Accra (Greater Accra), Ghana.

In recent years, Ghana Premier League side, Accra Hearts of Oak has seen its fair share of mass player exits.

Here, on a sports site has gathered the list of top players who left the club for free since 2017.

The list contains Kwame Kizito, Thomas Abbey, Vincent Atinga, Ruben Gnagne and others.

Now, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh whose contract issues with the club have become the headline could be the next to leave for free.

The exit of the youngster, a key team member in the last two seasons, will particularly shock the club’s fan base, and lead to a larger discussion at the club and the sports fraternity.

The 21-year-old will become a free agent when his contract expires at the conclusion of the year and he has decided against signing a new deal at the club.

Grapevine sources within the club indicate that the attacker has turned down a new contract offer from the club.
