Prince David Osei is in a buoyant mood and has consequently taken to Twitter to celebrate after the cedi started appreciating against the dollar, months after the massive depreciation of the currency plunged the economy into an abyss.
The actor expressed optimism that the new development will reflect significantly in the prices of goods and services. He posted;
“Hallelujah the Cedi is appreciating remarkably. 9.56ghc to a 1$. The economy is gradually getting back on track!! Now we need to see the effect on our daily lives, goods and services.. God bless,” he tweeted.
In October 2022, the Cedi, which lost 45.1% of its value against the US dollar in 2022, has since become the worst-performing currency globally.
