Daniel Afriyie Barnieh’s bromance with Accra Hearts of Oak could soon end with the player and his representatives unwilling to accept the club’s for contract renewal.
The Phobians have been looking to extend Barnie’s contract in the last few weeks, Phobia Sports News can confirm that, the negotiation about the contract renewal between the two parties have been dragging on for one year without any sign of a solution.
The forward was one of two locally-based players who represented the Black Stars at the 2022 World Cup. Barnieh was fortunate to feature in a pre-World Cup friendly against Switzerland and immensely impressed many a Ghanaian football lovers and neutral alike with skills and trickery.
Though he couldn’t make an appearance at the World Cup, there are hushed talks about several European and Asian clubs chasing after his signature.
The Phobians are already scouring for possible replacements and have been linked with a move for Maxwell Abbey Quaye and Solomon Diawisie Taylor.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh joined Hearts in 2019 from second-tier side Madina Republicans, scoring 21 goals in all competitions for the rainbow family.
