Accra Hearts of Oak are set to open contract negotiations with one of their prized assets.
The player in question has been instrumental since joining the Phobians but has for sometime now been plagued by incessant injuries.
The Phobians need the player badly to keep their shape for the ongoing season as head coach Slavko Matic looks to continue their team building exercise.
Salifu Ibrahim is the player in question and the Phobians are bent on renewing the player’s contract to help bolster the squad.
The midfielder joined the Phobians in February 2021 on a three-year deal from Techiman Eleven Wonders.
The left footed player was very instrumental in the club winning their first league trophy in eleven years and also the FA Cup under the tutelage of former coach, Samuel Boadu.
He scored 3 goals with 8 assists to his name and 8 MVPs, and was crowned the Player-of-The-Year.
