“World Cup Elimination Should be a Lesson to Ghanaians” – Ex-Arsenal Player

Ex-Arsenal midfielder, Emmanuel Frimpong has said that the Black Stars 2022 FIFA World Cup elimination should be a lesson to the nation.

The Black Stars exited the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar at the group stage after collecting just three points from their three group H games.

The Black Stars lost their opening group game against former European champions, Portugal by 3-2 but came back stronger in their second group game to beat South Korea by 3-2.

Their third and final group H game was a shocker to all Ghanaians as they lost to old foes, Uruguay by 2-0 to exit the tournament at the group stage.

The results chalked were under outgone coach, Otto Addo and Emmanuel Frimpong says that should be a lesson.

“This should be a lesson to some of our players. They shouldn’t wait for big matches before they show up in the Black Stars.” Frimpong told GTV Sports Plus.

“They need to be ready and available anytime they are called up,'”
