Ex-Arsenal Star Blasts Black Stars Poor World Cup Performance

The Black Stars of Ghana failed to progress past the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup hosted in Qatar. The Black Stars of Ghana managed just a win from three group games at the World Cup.

The Black Stars lost their opening group game against Portugal by 3-2 at the 974 Stadium but managed to come good in their second game against South Korea which the Black Stars posted a 3-2 victory against the Asian giants.

The Black Stars however failed to glitter against old foes, Uruguay after posting a horrible result in a 2-0 loss to the Uruguayans in the third and final game of the group.

The Black Stars poor show at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar has elicited anger from all walks of life and former Arsenal midfielder, Emmanuel Frimpong added his voice.

“This should be a lesson to some of our players. They shouldn’t wait for big matches before they show up in the Black Stars.” Frimpong told GTV Sports Plus.

“They need to be ready and available anytime they are called up,'”
