The Story of the Prodigal Son Changed for Good After Doing This One Thing.

Luke 15:12-32 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living…

Jesus told a parable of a Father who divided His properties with his sons but one took his portion and fled to a far away country and spent it in wasteful living.

According to Jesus parable after he had foolishly wasted all his blessings, a great famine arose in the land and found himself begging for help but no one favored him.

Eventually he had to stoop so low as to eat the food of pigs in order to survive. As he was eating something amazing happened to him. He came back to himself. He realised that even his father’s hired servants had enough to eat and spare but he was wallowing in the poverty of sin. He therefore said to himself that he will arise and go to his father and plead his mercy to be received as one of his hired servants.

The story of the prodigal son began to change when he saw that he had taken the wrong path and repenting in his heart decided to return to his fathers house.

Fastforward the father accepts him back again as his son, cleans him up and covers him with a royal robe and throws a big party for his return home. What a transformation which started with repentance. 

A lot of things have gone wrong in our lives because of one wrong action taken but when we take responsibility for the outcomes of our lives and begin to act out of repentance, God will release his grace and power to bring great transformation in every area of our lives.
