Morocco will be making their sixth FIFA World Cup appearance in Qatar with four days to kick off the global football showpiece.
The Atlas Lions’ best performance was in the 1988 edition where they topped their group but eventually lost to eventual winners West Germany in the next round.
The one time Africa Cup of Nations winners face 2018 World Cup semi finalist and runners, Belgium and Croatia as well as Canada in group F.
Freelance Moroccan journalist, Reda Bennis admits the group is a tough.
“I can tell you one word, I can tell you welcome to hell,” Reda Bennis told Radio Gold Sports.
“We are playing the finalist of the World Cup which is Croatia, we are playing against the semi finalist of the World Cup which is Belgium.
“And we are playing against Canada who won against the United States 6-0.
“It won’t be easy but we don’t have to say that we will lose from the beginning of course we are playing against these top level teams.
“But we have our chances to, we have our chance to show the World that we can play good football.” Reda Bennis told Radio Gold Sports.
