Ghana Has Been Handed Another Huge Boost Ahead of The World Cup

The head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has been given a huge boost ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar.

The Black Stars are making their fourth FIFA World Cup appearance after their maiden appearance in Germany 2006.

The team managed to go into the round sixteen after their maiden edition of the tournament much to the excitement of the entire West African nation.

The Black Stars made a second appearance at the next edition in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa where there was a better performance from the previous tournament in Germany 2006.

The team was able to equal the record achieved by Cameroon and Senegal after reaching the quarter finals of the tournament in South Africa in 2010.

There was a poor performance in their last edition held in Brazil in 2014 where the team failed to progress from the group stage.

The Black Stars were able to go past the arch rivals, the Super Eagles of Nigeria over two legs in the qualifiers where the first leg finished goalless at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The second leg ended in a 1-1 score line at the MKO Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja with the Black Stars qualifying via the away goal rule.
