“This Govt Is Wicked:It Has Nothing To Offer” -Capt Smart Fires Govt For Selling Saglemi Project

The Saglemi housing project which is located in Prampram in the Ningo Prampram District in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana has unfortunately been abandoned for over six years and left to rot. It has become a white elephant after several millions of dollars were invested into the project.

Fast forward, the Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye at a Press Briefing yesterday announced the government’s intention to sell the Saglemi housing project to a private developer to refurbish the housing units.

This news is a pain in the neck of most Ghanaians who are baffled at this administration’s decision. How on earth does a caring government sell a housing project built to provide shelter for the masses who have nowhere to sleep?

Captain Smart was all fired up this morning and called out the minister for doing the unthinkable. He stated that the houses in there are fully furnished and ready to use and there have been several calls in the past to get the houses made available to the general public but a certain man is not ready to listen.

The journalist suggested that the place could have been given to the security agencies: Police and firefighters who are facing housing challenges.

“I told you that Saglemi has been sold. This government is wicked and they have nothing to offer for this country,” he concluded.
