Ghana plays Switzerland in an international friendly match on the 17th of November before starting their world cup campaign on the 24th of November with a mouth-watering fixture against Portugal.

The former Black Star player, Awudu Issaka has revealed what he thinks is the reason why Ghanaian youngster Felix Afena Gyan has been allegedly dropped from the Black Star squad.

Speaking to a local television station in Ghana, the former Black Star player claimed that the reason for Afena Gyan’s exclusion from the Blackstars squad was because of his move away from AS Roma in the summer transfer window.

He said “I think Afena Gyan would have made the World Cup if he was still under Jose Mourinho at AS Roma but I believe he’s still young and has much time ahead to make the next World Cup”.

Meanwhile the official squad for the Black Stars is yet to be released. However, sources close to the camp have revealed that Coach Otto Addo has already made calls to players excluded from the 55 man list to explain his decision. Drop Afena-Gyan from the Black Stars team now' - Ex-International
