Elated with the activities of the just-ended Hogbetsotso festival in Anlo, Captain Smart commended the event organizers for doing a yeoman’s job. The colorful festival brought together prominent traditional leaders and people from all walks of life to witness firsthand the unique culture of Anlos.
On Onua Tv this morning, the host sought to clarify the misconception that has lingered on in the minds of a section of Ghanaians that the people of the Volta region are enemies of Akans.
With pleasure, Captain Smart debunked these notions and opined that the visit of Otumfuor Osei Tutu to Anlo clearly shows that there is no bad blood between Ashantis and Ewes.
He turned his attention to projects which have been abandoned and called out the successive governments for failing to develop the region. In addition, he lambasted the people for voting continuously and being too lenient with politicians.
The Keta port which was started by this particular administration has not been completed and surprisingly there is a managing director who earns GHC 87,000 with additional 31 workers. To him, this is unacceptable.
“A port that was started four years ago is still not completed and this is an insult to Togbe Sri. What crime has the people of Volta committed,” he quizzed.
