Testify in court without the face mask – Supreme Court orders Anas » ™

– –

Without any preferential treatment, the Supreme Court of Ghana has ordered investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to testify in the lawsuit against former President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi based on his documentary titled “Number 12,” which exposed rots in Ghana football.

The ruling came down on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from a Supreme Court presided over by Justice Baffoe-Bonnie.

The directive probably means he can’t wear a full mask in public.

As a result of this ruling, the High Court’s prior decision allowing Anas to testify in private has been vacated.

Mr. Nyantakyi has challenged the High court’s verdict by filing an appeal with the Supreme Court.

As shown in the video, Mr. Nyantakyi is being tried for his alleged participation in corruption, but the High Court has ruled that Anas may testify in camera throughout the trial.

In response to Mr. Nyantakyi’s appeal to the Supreme Court, the court ruled that the investigative journalists were not entitled to any preferential treatment.
