BREAKING: Bolldog Sues Shatta Wale

Ghanaian music and entertainment professional and CEO of the Bulhaus Entertainment, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog has sued Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr known in showbiz as Shatta Wale for defamation.

A few days ago, Shatta Wale in a series of Facebook posts accused his former manager, Bullgod of engaging in malicious activities and gossiping about revered persons in the country, stemming from their fallout.

Bullgod, the plaintiff has filed a lawsuit in the High Court of Justice against the musician, Shatta Wale (defendant) over defamation of character.

The plaintiff sued the defendant based on three accounts;

The first defamatory publication by the defendant is; YOU SAID FORMER PRESIDENT MAHAMA ASK.
YOU IF YOU CAN GET HIM GUNMEN TO DO SOME. JOB FOR HIM RIGHT?”, made on 2nd November 2022 via his Facebook account.

The above publication by the defendant suggests;

a. “That the plaintiff is a person who engages in illicit gun violence, contract killing and other related crimes.

b. That the Plaintiff is a person of little or no sense of judgment, or integrity
and a person who would go around to talk carelessly about people and
peddle injurious lies about them.

C. That the Plaintiff is not a person who should be trusted with lawful, honest,
or serious music, media, entertainment business or other businesses.

16.A few minutes later, on the same day, November 2, 2022, the Defendant made
another defamatory publication on his Facebook page about the Plaintiff:
Particulars of Defamation:

“BULL DOG! You remember when you said MAHAMA is coming to waste money in this campaign and you go help am waste am . NDC PPL NO FOOL LIKE YOU” (Sic)

17. By publishing the words in Paragraph 16 of this Statement of Claim about the
Plaintiff, the Defendant meant or wanted to be taken to mean:

a. That the Plaintiff has confided in him (the Defendant) that he (the Plaintiff)
has no honest belief in the political potentials or successes of His
Excellency, JOHN MAHAMA.

b. That the Plaintiff is a man of no integrity, scruples, or character who,
because of need or affection for money and other material gains and benefits, is unable to openly live out his true beliefs.

c. That His Excellency. JOHN MAHAMA, or other political actors should never
trust or deal with the Plaintiff either at a personal level or transact with him at a professional level.

d. That the Plaintiff is not a person who should be trusted with lawful, honest,
or serious business of music, media, entertainment, or other businesses.

18. Again, on or about November 2, 2022, the Defendant published on his Facebook other words which are defamatory to the Plaintiff:

Particulars of Defamation:
“Ghana will know. When you said PRESIDENT. MAHAMA SENDS YOU TO BRING. HIM GIRLS” (sic)

19. The publication which is mentioned in Paragraph 18 of this Statement of Claim contains an innuendo:”

Has has been COMMANDED that within EIGHT DAYS after service of the writ
on his inclusive of the day of service he do cause an appearance to be entered for him.
