Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Slavko Matic has said that he wants to create the best options in the team against any opponent.
The Serb paired talismanic duo of Gladson Awako and Ibrahim Salifu against new boys, Kotoku Royals where the Phobians claimed the important three away points.
Black Stars and Meteors forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored from the spot after he was brought down the penalty area to give the Phobians the only goal of the game at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Many have questioned his selection criteria where some key players have been benched but the Serbian trainer has other ideas.
“I said that I want to make the better option for us, we have a lot of games and players will play.
“We want try for each game the best combination for us, you saw these two players [Awako and Salifu Ibrahim] they had a lot of good combination together and we try to keep the ball a lot.
“We wil analyze and this is what we must do if we want to take another three points.” Slavko Matic told StarTimes.
Hearts of Oak have now collected eight points from their opening five games of fhe 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
