Ghanaian singer OV (Original Version) has disclosed that her new song titled “Shush” speaks about the mental disorder she suffered after her exit from Stonebwoy’s Burniton .
According to OV, after she painfully left Stonebwoy’s record label, she suffered a mental disorder called Psychotic episodes which affected her mental health.

Recall that a few years ago, OV made headlines with her weird looks, looking depressed. A lot of attributed her unkempt looks to her addiction to narcotics. However, the singer has now disclosed the reason behind her disheveled look.

“It was after the exit. It was something that hit me very hard. It got me thinking, ‘Am I not enough? It started giving me doubts about deserving to be on a label. It put me through some state that I will not wish for my enemy. It put me through a lot. I was depressed. It got to a point I stayed away from everybody.”
OV has disclosed that her new song speaks about the betrayal and the mental issues she went through. She said: “Shush is an emotional tune. It is very deep and personal to me. It is deep and self-explanatory because, at that time, my mind was all over the place. It was crazy.”

“I kept singing until I got better. I couldn’t even eat unless it was
liquid. At that point, I had gotten a second relapse. So, my friend came over to where I was confined and helped me compose several songs that were supposed to be on my EP. But then I could not release it.”
“The day he came over, he told me that the texts I had written in the past that did not make sense. So I read and explained to him that that was what I was seeing and hearing.”
