Berekum Chelsea midfielder Collins Ameyaw has won the maiden edition of the Boafo Yena Group of Companies player of the month award.
He beat off competition from two others to win the award for September following some outstanding displays for the club this season.
Ameyaw, has been very busy in the middle of the park for Berekum Chelsea in the ongoing betPawa Premier League competition in Ghana as his club sits third on the table after four matches, and with an unbeaten record.
“I am very honored to receive this prize and would like to thank those who made this competition possible,” Ameyaw wrote on his social media channels.
He added: “From the depths of my heart, I appreciate you for giving me this prize. This is really a proud moment for me and my entire team.”
“I really appreciate all those who supported me and had their hopes high for me. I did it because of you.
I feel immense pleasure to be selected to get an honor from this glorious institution. I really value and respect this honour,” Ameyaw concluded.
He will look to build on this performance going forward as Berekum Chelsea look to win the league title for the second time in their history.
