Ghana’s Real Crisis Is That Akufo Addo Doesn’t Have a Clear Vision Or Any Plan – Ablakwa

The member of parliament for North Tongu constituency, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said that Ghana’s real crisis is that President Akufo-Addo doesn’t have a clear vision and he hasn’t put together a plan to achieve that vision.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said that no country in history has been transformed based on ad hoc speeches and knee-jerk reactions by it’s leaders, but by leaders with great vision and a plan or coordinated programme to achieve that vision

He said since Akufo Addo resumed power, he has not submitted to parliament his co-ordinated programme of economics and social development policies, agricultural and industrial programmes as required by article 36(5) of the 1992 constitution

He said the reason why Ghana is in crisis is because the president has no clear co-ordinated programmes for the country, expecially in his second term

He said he is of the view that Article 36(5) of the 1992 constitution be urgently reviewed and amended to mandate present their vision and co-ordinated programmes to Parliament within a maximum period of 2 months after they are sworn into office.
