The lady of the moment has made a revelation about what could have been a plus to her “Asibolanga” song but things didn’t work as planned. Born Belinda Nana Ekuah Amoah, but known professionally as Mzbel is a veteran Ghanaian singer who is an inspiration to many Ghanaian female musicians.
Though she has stayed out of music for a long time now, she recently teased her fans with a snippet of her anticipated Yuletide jam dubbed “Asibolanga”. Pressure was mounted on her afterwards to release the song ahead of the stipulated time which she finally succumbed to.
She has however revealed that she made some efforts towards recruiting Medikal on the track but it didn’t yield results. This made her to drop the song without the rapper. She revealed she didn’t contact the him directly but only did through his wife Fella Makafui.
“I had initially wanted to put Medikal on the Asibolanga song, but unfortunately, he was feeling pompous. I tried to reach out to him through his wife and the response was not positive. They kept tossing me around,” she disclosed to the host Sammy Kay.
“He had already listened to the song. You know sometimes people don’t feel the music and maybe because of our relationship, he was afraid to tell me,” she further stated.
