The visitors, Bibiani Gold Stars, took a 1-0 lead at the half-time break in Accra. The Gold Stars went hard on the Phobians to break the game’s deadlock through Price Osei Owusu in the 30th minute.
Accra Hearts of Oak were outplayed by Gold Stars and were unable to match the strength of the visitors.
The Phobians came close to getting the equalizer, but their efforts were not enough to tie the game before the half-time break.
Hearts’ new tactician, Matic, made some great changes after the recess that brought the winning spirit.
Glid Otanga got the equaliser in the 79th minute to tie the game.
Gladson Awako, in the 88th minute, drilled a super free-kick to complete the comeback for the Phobians, setting the stadium ablaze as Hearts clinched their first victory in the league.
