Former President John Dramani Mahama spoke today pointing out factual information and analysis on the way forward with what has truly crippled the economy and its way ahead.
He lamented saying: Normally, in situations like these, there’s a backroom channel that allows the government to engage the opposition on what could be done to mitigate the burden on the citizens.
Unfortunately, this has not been the case. And we in the NDC have been compelled to engage the people directly on what could be done.
I am hurt by this statement. The people who have messed this country up, are still behaving like that and have all the ideas to take us out of this mess. Former President Mahama had long indicated the readiness of the NDC to come to the table when invited.
Yet, President Akufo-Addo and his government have remained adamant and arrogant at that. They are those to create the table and extend an invitation before the NDC can join, and not the other way around.Â
Unfortunately, President Akufo-Addo and his government officials are left off the hook and are walking about as if they owe no duty or responsibility to anyone.
