22/23 UEFA Champions League Team of the Week Five(5): Messi, Mbappe, Gnabry, Taremi, Silva, Ostigard

Masterclass team and individual performances in the round fifth of the UEFA Champions League this week – put together the highly-rated XI as the Team of the Week.

SL Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Porto following their separate terrific victorious lead the way as they are each represented by two players, with the rest of the squad selected from five different sides – [Napoli, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen].

With a perfect rating of 10 and 9.9 according to sofascore, PSG duo – Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi share the player of the week award.

The pair put on a show in their side’s 7:2 win over Israeli giants Maccabi Haifa at home [Parc des Princes] and became the first teammate to score two goals and provide two assists each in the same UEFA Champions League match since Roberto Firmino and Mohammed Salah on April 24th, 2018 past Roma on 5-2 score-line at Anfield.

FC Porto’s Mehdi Taremi and Octavio were also excellent – as they contributed twice to the team’s goals against Club Brugge in Belgium, [0-4].

Other outstanding stars who were featured in the team include – Serge Gnabry, Rafa Silva, and Octavio.

Gnabry registered three assists – the most this week by a player, while Octavio with two and Rafa, a brace.
