Manasseh Azure Awuni, who’s one of the very few advocates and deep thinkers in the country whose investigative journalism and reportage have been lauded by many in the country, Africa, and beyond has made a piercing comment on Facebook.
He sounded that “A Yale-educated finance minister who sits on state television to advocate the building of a national cathedral when his country is sinking and heading to the IMF for a bailout has lost his way. He doesn’t need coercing to leave when the people who gave him the power to serve don’t need him”.
The National Cathedral, Free Shs, and Planting for food and jobs just name a few, projected that brought controversies and the sudden devaluation of the finance minister Ken Ofori Atta.
Many Ghanaians and notable citizens have called for the resignation of the finance minister with immediate effect.
In less than 4 years, 5 finance ministers of Pakistan, whose companies even didn’t benefit from bond issuance, resigned. This is what has been the desire of parliament as the minority caucus intends to solicit the support of the majority to impeach Ken Ofori Atta.
