Reigning GMB Queen Teiya Liaises With NorthWell Ltd To Conduct Free Breast Cancer Screening Exercise For “Kayayes”

The reigning Ghana Most Beautiful Queen, Dahamani Tung-Teiya from the Northern Region together with her team liaised with NorthWell Limited To minister free breast cancer screening for ‘Kayayes’.

To mark the breast cancer awareness month and what she stands for, the event was held on October 23, 2022, at the Forecourt of Oman FM in Madina Zongo Junction, Accra.

Aside from the free breast cancer screening exercise conducted, the day was also set aside for the Queen and her team to educate the Kayayes on breast cancer awareness, its causes, symptoms, dangers, and preventive methods.

Teiya was crowned winner of the 2022 season of the Ghana Most Beautiful. The grand finale was held on October 9, 2022, at the National Theatre in Accra, Ghana.

Teiya raised concerns about a lot of topics that need the nation much attention but among them was the Kayeye topic that lauded her performance, and contributed immensely to her win.

In the grand female, she made a strong case for Kayayei to be offered
help to curb the menace, which
has seen girls from the northern part
of Ghana traveling to the Southern part in search of greener pastures.

This prevalent activity has exposed a lot of young girls from the Northern part of Ghana to a range of promiscuous acts resulting in teenage pregnancies, deadly diseases, and inhuman treatment from people who patronize their services.

Teiya advocated vehemently to do everything within her capacity, in collaboration with stakeholders to curb the menace if she was crowned the queen.

Through relentless hard work, unflinching support and unceasing prayers, Teiya beat off competition from Oti Region’s Aiko Adade (1st runner-up) and Central Region’s Asiedua Afanyi Arhin (2nd runner-up), Eastern Region’s Amoai (3rd runner-up) to win the ultimate prize.

Teiya took home Ghc10,000 cash, one year’s supply of GTP fabric, Ghc20,000 medical insurance and spa treatment, a new techno phone, an all-expense paid international trip, and hampers from sponsors.

Aiko Adade came in at second place for the Oti region and received a Ghc8,000 cash prize, six months’ supply of GTP fabric, Ghc15,000 worth of medical insurance and spa treatment, all-expense paid trip and souvenirs from Airtel-Tigo.

Third place went to Central Region’s Grace Afanyi Asiedua Arhin who took home Ghc6,000 cash, three months’ supply of GTP fabric, Airtel-Tigo data, and hampers from sponsors.

Eastern Region’s Amoai took fourth place with a Ghc5,000 cash prize, one month’s supply of fabrics from GTP, and one month’s supply of data on Airtel-Tigo mifi and hampers from sponsors.
