Ghana Black Stars, on the latest reports, has received a huge blow concerning one of their main players – Alexander Djiku being injured.
This follows his club league match in round 12th of France Ligue 1 with Toulouse earlier today, in which he got pulled out in the 26th minute.
Having been involved in all RC Strasbourg games so far this season, the 28-year-old central defender could not see through this one – as they drew from two goals behind at Stadium de Toulouse.
Anthony Rouault opened the scoring account for the host in the 44th minute, while teammate Brecht Dejaegere doubled up in the 55th.
In the 65th minute was Lebo Mothiba’s magical finish and Kevin Gameiro with the crucial equalizer for the visitors.
This turns out to be unexpected news, however, the extent of Djiku’s injury is yet to be known and hope he will recover in time for the biggest tournament in Qatar later this year.
