A mother of five from Yeji in an interview on Apatakesease show reveals why her mother cursed her after she decided to become a Christian years ago. According to the woman, she married her husband, who is a welder many years ago and was blessed with five children. The woman said that all members of her family are Muslims and she also started these religious services from childhood, but at some point she decided to convert and become a Christian.
Although her mother did not support her decision and advised her that she won’t get peace again if she tries to become a Christian but she ignored her and went to the church to be baptized. The woman said when she returned home, her mother was angry, cursed her and disowned her from their family. She thought nothing will happen to her but a few months later, she got injuries in her spinal cord at workplace, although she was taken to the hospital for treatment but she was unable to do any work to support her husband as before.
The woman claimed that her condition worsened and it became difficult for her to urinate and ease herself unless she goes to the hospital for medication before she will be able to urinate. The doctors did a thorough examination on her but they found nothing wrong with her. The worst part is that, her husband who used to work to support the family, also had back pain after going to work one morning. Unable to work, the family began to face financial difficulties.
She said she went to Kumasi to look for work but her health condition prevented her from working. Her two children dropped out of school because they could not pay their school fees. Although the elders of the church have supported him financially but it has not been enough for the whole family. The mother of five says she regrets converting to Christianity because of a curse placed on her by her mother, which affected her health and the whole family. The woman asked for financial assistance to be treated in the hospital and also support her family and husband.
