The hate in the industry is too much- Okuraseni Samuel bemoans » ™

– –

One of the most conspicuous products of TV3’s Mentor, Okuraseni Samuel has suggested that the reason why the Ghanaian music industry isn’t progressing relatively is because of too much hate amongst artistes.

While interacting recently with Yenkofie on Connect FM host Nana Adjoa Arthur, the dreadlocked musician claimed that there is a lot of animosity and resentment in the industry hence If these actions are not stopped, he contends, the industry will continue to experience setbacks.

“There is no love in the industry. We don’t love ourselves. There is so much envy and jealousy among us musicians, and that’s the problem. We hate ourselves, us musicians. Some artists even go to the extreme and pull out from a billed show just because of some lined-up artist.”

He then proceeded to preach about togetherness and solidarity to push Ghana music higher.

“I advise that we support each other with love. We should stop the hypocrisy and consider promoting our culture through our music as Ghanaians. If we support and help each other, we will move forward as an industry and country.”
