One Major Cause Of Eye Damage

The eye is a special organ which enables people to see. To be able to see in the dark, distinguish between objects and animals, colours and chemicals are all because of the possession of the eye. Every individual is born with eyes, but not all people are able to see.

Certain factors can cause this abnormality which prevents people from being able to see. The term is referred to as blindness. Our actions can lead to blindness, accidents, formation during the time in the stomach as a baby and many more.

To be able to see is a gift, and one which we must protect. Though, there are certain things we do which rather damage the eye. Any serious damage to the eye, can turn out to be catastrophic. A reason why we all must take note of this major factor which can cause eye damage.

Exposing the eyes to the sun’s harmful UV radiation can cause damage to the cornea and lens. Overexposure can lead to eye cancer and cataracts. So then protecting the eye from the sun’s ray, is essential to prevent it’s damage. Wearing sunglasses is a means to avoiding direct contact of the sun’s ray to the eyes.

Better still, just avoid looking up at the sun during day time. This is another means of protecting the eye from the sun’s UV radiation.
