Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei has said that he will not resign from the club’s board.
The former New Patriotic Party member of parliament came under sharp criticism following the club’s exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.
The club suffered a 3-0 loss in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup in Bamako against AS Real Bamako before the return fixture.
The reverse fixture came up at the Accra Sports Stadium and the Phobians managed to win 1-0 but that was not enough for them to qualify for the next phase of the competition.
“No, I will not resign as board member unless Togbe Afede says I should resign from the board of Accra Hearts of Oak,” Sowah Odotei said in an interview with Original FM.
The Phobians qualified into the CAF Confederation Cup after coming from a goal down to beat Bechem United 2-1 in the MTN FA Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
