The Ghana Football Association has announced that as part of activities for the upcoming World Cup, Muslims are due to fast and pray for the Black Stars of Ghana today.
Ghanaian Muslims in Ghana and abroad are therefore encouraged to fast and pray for the team so as they become successful in the upcoming World Cup.
Ghana will begin their world cup campaign with a crunch fixture against Portugal on the 24 of November before taking on Uruguay and South Korea.
The Black Stars are the least ranked country in the world cup with a position of 61 on the FIFA ranking. Sports data and analysts have also predicted that the team will not make it out of the group stages of the tournament.
It is hoped that through the prayers and fasting, favour will be upon the team to upset these trends against the team at the world cup.
