Albert Nat Hyde best known as Bongo ideas has had the bashing of Ghanaians for spitting out piercing comments against a post made by former president John Dramani Mahama on his official Facebook page.
He said “using the death of the young man to score political points is cheap and basic. People still kill themselves even in better economies. You can sympathize with the family without necessarily trying to come across as the Messiah. Everything shouldn’t be about politics”.
John Dramani Mahama wrote this: I returned from a trip to hear the sad news of Kakra who killed himself by electrocution. The current levels of hardship in Ghana are dire and probably the worst we have ever experienced in the last three decades, but suicide is never the answer.
Even in the darkest night, there will always come the dawn. The sun will rise again. Let’s be each other’s keepers. Let’s keep hope alive. Here’s how Ghanaians reacted to Bongo’s comment:
• Is it that you don’t understand simple English or you have a peculiar problem with everyone in this country or you are just the controversial type of person?
• Do You think Mahama is another prey you can joke with regards to petting around with unsavory comments? Mature up and remember what goes around comes around.
• Did you read very very well? His point is about unemployment among the youth and the hardship in the country not about death. Read well before commenting.
