Ghanaian singer and songwriter Kuami Eugene has terminated his contract with his record label, Lynx Entertainment.
Kuami Eugene joined Lynx Entertainment after his participation in the Season 5 of the 2016 MTN Hitmaker reality competition where he placed the 2nd runner-up in the competition.
He has since released several hit songs and two albums under the record label, managed by Richie Mensah. He has also won a lot of awards, which include ‘Artiste Of The Year” at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Awards.
It would be recalled that, a few months ago, popular political activist, A Plus on United on UTV disclosed that, according to reliable sources, the singer wanted to exit the label.
Award-winning Disc Jockey, Dj Slim discredited the claims made by A-Plus, stating otherwise that the singer had no intention of terminating his contract with the label.
However, the award-winning singer made a couple of cryptic posts a few days ago, which suggested that he had planned to exit the label.
In a new development of this, he has confirmed via his verified Twitter account that he has exited the label and joined Black Sherif at Empire Africa.
“My New Family @EMPIRE @EMPIREAfrica 🤝🏾” he tweeted in the latest hours of Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
EMPIRE Distribution, Records and Publishing Inc. is an American distribution company and record label founded by Ghazi Shami with offices in New York City, London, Nashville, and Atlanta. It has released albums in various genres but it is predominantly focused on hip-hop music.
