An elderly woman in an interview explained why her husband’s sidechick decided to kill her children months ago. The woman explained that she got married to Yaw Grusi her husband 26 years ago in the northern region, and they both came to Kumasi to look for work. Fortunately, they were able to purchase land and did a farm on it. The couple worked together while living comfortably with their children.
As if the peace they had was not enough for her husband, he got into a relationship with another woman named Asibi. Despite her disapproval of the man’s extral marital affair, she continued arguing with him until one day he got angry and the man evicts her from the house they had worked so hard to build, in the middle of the night without giving him any of the property they had made.
The woman claimed that her neighbors offered her a place to stay and move on with her life, but her rival keeps insulting anytime she sees her. She couldn’t give her any reply but summoned Asibi to the chief’s palace to prevent her from insulting her again. They all gathered in the chief’s house to solve this problem, but Asibi did not stop insulting her.
One day her daughter got into a fight with the Asibi kid at school but when they came back home. Her rival was also angry after the child informed her of what had happened and she decided to kill all her children by curse them because of the fight. The elderly woman said that she also feared losing her children, and wanted to help to prevent her husband’s sidechick from killing her children.
According to Asibi, the man had divorced his wife before they met, but she had never abuse her before. The woman says she worked hard to support Yaw but he never gave her some of the money they earned from the farm products. The man in question got into a fight with her on purpose and hurt her. Yaw then kicked her out of the house again without offending her. She also said that she never threatened to kill the elderly woman’s children.
