At one of the BECEÂ examination sites in Barekese, Atwima Nwabiagya North District, a 14-year-old applicant taking the Basic Education Certificate Examinations in 2022 was pushed to defecate.
According to reports, a supervisor had earlier requested that the boy, a student at Fufou D/A Junior High School, leave the exam to attend to a nature call. Because he was unable to hold on, the boy ended up cutting his exams short and easing himself at the facility.
The unit committee chairman for the Fofuo electoral area, Rockson Ntiamoah, acknowledged the occurrence and called it worrisome in an exclusive interview with OTEC News Kwame Agyenim.
They charged one of the supervisors at the center, a tutor from Barekese Senior High School, of forbidding the boy from leaving and making the assertion that the candidate might go collect foreign materials for the examination center.
One of the Barekese SHS teachers who was also the BECE center supervisor this year rejected his request to be permitted to attend to nature’s call. The student’s parent has vowed to pursue legal action against the teacher and deal with him.
