Opoku Ware now leads Accra Academy with the most points in the NSMQ2022 one-eighth stage.

The National Science and Math Quiz (NSMQ) is a programme that seeks to promote Science and Mathematics in Ghana. It is produced by Primetime and broadcasted by Joy News and Joy Prime. It is the most loved high school quiz in Ghana. This is because all the schools in Ghana bring their representatives or contestants which they usually refer to them as “brillas” to find out the best.

They begin from the zonal then to the regional and finally the national level. It is a wonderful experience to see students cheering their students. Some also go a long way to brag and elaborate a little about the history of their schools.

Those who make it to the final of the quiz are giving huge amount of money and scholarships. Obviously, the winner is given special awards such as scholarships abroad and larger amount of money. Also, throughout the contest, awards are given to the contestants. For example, getting a perfect score for the probem of the day calls for an award and also answering two or three out of five questions upwards during the riddles also attracts a reward. Moreover, the school with most points is also rewarded.

Opoku Ware has the highest point in the one-eighth stage with 64 points now this year. As a result, they were heavily rewarded by AirtelTigo Ghana. They’ve won it twice as far as the NSMQ is concerned. Check out how happy they are.

Accra Academy was leading but unfortunately could not maintain it. They are now the school with the second most points with 60 points this year. Accra Academy has never won the NSMQ before. Nevertheless, they are trying their best to lift the trophy for the first time. They showed that by trying their best to get the most points in the one-eighth stage.
