A member of the New Democratic Congress, Yayra Koku has questioned if Covid-19 and the Russian -Ukraine war impact seems to have skipped some African countries to affect Ghana only Ghana.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page he wrote;
“Congo is 10th. My question is
1. Was there COVID-19 in Congo?
2. Is the Ukraine-Russia war not affecting them?
3. Is the global crisis not affecting them? And lastly, Let me borrow Bawumia’s statement in 2016
4. How can the global crisis skip Congo, Côte D’Ivoire, Togo, and Burkina Faso and only affect Ghana?”
Yayra Koku shared the above screenshot.
Ghana has been ranked first in the list of countries with highest increase in food prices in the Sub Saharan Africa. Following that a lot of people have lamented on it.
