The management of the Ghana Education Service wishes to remind the general public particularly, Parents, Teachers, Heads of Basic Schools and Directors of Education that the Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) for 2022 will commence from Monday 17th to Friday 21st October 2022 at all the 2,023 designated centers.

All candidates and stakeholders are hereby assured that management has worked closely with the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to ensure the smooth conduct of examination through out the country.

The management is henceforth reminding all candidates, parents, teachers, stakeholders, invigilators and supervisors to appreciate the fact that the basis of success in life is honesty and hard work. For this reason the general public is been cautioned on any form of exam malpractice.

This therefore means that no form of exam malpractice will be tolerated and anyone caught on such malicious act must be dealt with in accordance with the criminal laws as it is a crime. So prospective candidates are urged to clear off any mind of cheating during the exams so as to ensure a smooth conduct of the examination.

552,276 candidates are expected to sit for the BECE exams and of this number 276,988 are males and 275,288 are females. Management further encourages the security agencies to help deal decisively with all those who attempt to undermine the integrity of the exercise and to jeopardize the future of the candidates.
