Black Sherif keeps on racking up achievements in the music industry. Recently his newly released album titled “The Villain I never was” has reached 100 million streams on boom play.
His popularity has led the giant social media platform, Twitter, to hold an interview session with him where he explains some of the thoughts behind some of his tweets.
During the interview one of the interesting things he revealed about himself is that although lots of people see him as a tough person or a “gangster”, he actually cries a lot. He adds that he is human too and even more sensitive than the average person. He reveals that he cries a lot because it relieves his soul.
“I Wanted To Rap As well”
Black Sherif went on the reveal that he sang a lot when he was starting. He adds that he wanted to rap as well, however, he noticed he was too late to compete in that industry. He adds that because he also has a passion for rap, he incorporates it with his singing and thus produces more melodic raps rather than focusing on only one genre.
“My Mother Never Believed in Me Till She saw Me On TV”
He wrapped up the interview by stating that when he started, his mother always doubted him and rather wanted him to pursue his education. However, when she saw Black Sherif on the TV for the first time she started to warm up to the idea. Black Sherif reveals that she called him after seeing his first appearance on TV and could hear her crying.
“I Canceled Lots of Shows For My Album”
Black Sherif also revealed that he missed out on lots of opportunities because of his debut album. He adds that he had to cancel shows in Europe and tours across the world so that he could focus on producing his work of art.
