NAM 1 deserves a statue

– –

The former artist manager of dancehall artist Shatta Wale, and repertoire manager for the defunct Zylofon , Bulldog has said that the CEO of MenzGold Nana Appiah Mensah deserves a statue in Ghana.

Nana Appiah Mensah also known popularly as NAM 1 emerged as one of the popular businessmen who opened a gold investment company called MenzGold, a record label, and a radio station, Zylofon Media.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM’s ‘U Say Wetin’ Show, Bulldog disclosed that NAM 1 had great plans for the music industry more than any other industry can lay out for the industry players. Bulldog further added that NAM 1 wanted to put Ghana music at the top until the MenzGold saga took place.

“Zylofon was responsible for those international plugs… I was head of Zylofon as the CEO of Zylofon . Shatta came to meet me at Zylofon and we signed him on and there was a deliberate attempt to push every Zylofon act… check Shatta Wale’s Gringo. Have you seen anything like that in the history of Ghana?” Bulldog queried.

“Apart from the fact that I lost my funds with Menzgold, no record label had come like Zylofon. He bought cars and houses and gave them money. NAM1 deserves a statue in Ghana for what he did for the entertainment space.”
